Hi, I am an edgy retiree, and I am kissing my beautiful wife in front of a fountain in the gardens at Versailles, France. My wife and I have sailed the world on many cruises (got to Versailles after one). I once wanted to share our glorious memories from those trips with those interested in travel. Now I don't care.
Now I'm just looking for something to do during the day. Retirement has become boring. Unfortunately, the world has become anything but. Nowadays, I feel more interested in hiding from it than seeing it. A nap usually helps.
I'm reviving this blog because, frankly, I have nothing else to do, other than sail and travel to places around the United States that leave me underwhelmed. I still go to the Caribbean and see many sights I have seen many times before. Deja vu is my new middle name.
I tried to publish a book on cruising. It was as well received by literary agents as the Titanic's maiden voyage was by the ocean. So that finished my aspirations to become a travel writer. But I still possess my acerbic wit. It should be put to some use before it gets put into an assisted living memory unit somewhere. Why not here? Why not satirically relate my travel stories and observations so others can feel the pain and possibly laugh at someone's expense? Why not - it's going on worldwide.
So, look for some nasty laughs, grumpy guffaws, and a general ridiculous outlook on life here. This space may fill some of the emptiness you find these days. Then I will have done some good.
Enjoy my website!
